# How to Train Your Hotel AI Chatbot Using Your Website

> Choose crawl links, sitemap, or individual pages

The **Website** tab under **Knowledge Base** imports website content as chatbot training sources.

## Choose a website import method

| Method | What it does | When to use it |
| - | - | - |
| **Crawl Links** | Discovers pages on the website and lets you select pages to include or exclude | When you want control over which pages are trained |
| **Sitemap** | Imports all URLs listed in the supplied sitemap | When you want comprehensive coverage of the sitemap |
| **Individual URL** | Adds content from a particular webpage | When you need a specific page |

## Crawl Links

1. Open **Knowledge Base → Website → Crawl Links**.
2. Enter your **Website URL**.
3. Select **Fetch Links** to discover pages.
4. Review the discovered URLs and exclude irrelevant or outdated pages.
5. Complete the import using the controls presented after scanning.
6. Click **Retrain Chatbot** and test the results.

## Sitemap

1. Select **Sitemap** and provide the hotel's sitemap URL.
2. Start the scan/import using the on-screen control.
3. Review the imported source in **Training Sources**.
4. Click **Retrain Chatbot**.

**Important:** Sitemap import includes **all URLs in the supplied sitemap**. There is no individual URL exclusion in this method. Review the sitemap before importing.

## Individual URL

1. Select **Individual URL**.
2. Enter the specific webpage you want to import.
3. Follow the on-screen scan/import steps.
4. Review the training source, then **Retrain Chatbot**.

## When the hotel website changes

Whenever website information used by the chatbot changes, return to the Knowledge Base and click **Retrain Chatbot**. Test the updated answer afterward.

## FAQ

### Can I exclude selected website pages?

Yes, use **Crawl Links** for page selection and exclusion. **Sitemap** imports everything in the sitemap.

### Which method is best?

Use **Crawl Links** for control, **Sitemap** for broad coverage, and **Individual URL** for a targeted page.

### Does the chatbot automatically update when our website changes?

Do not assume it does. **Retraining is required** after website updates.
